Chapter Seven: When Will This End?

Rain sang a sad song above and below the sky and earth... threads of water found there way everywhere, putting out every thing under shelter... forcing it on obeying its power of control... beautiful crystal wet lines danced with the rain in faint twilight... as a single silver pupilless eyes woke from a sleepy doze...

The ancient beast had rested enough, and now feels hungry and wants to eat... any thing, a small smack of any thing would do just fine! Well... maybe more than just a small smack! A big chunks of some thing... some thing... flush! Warm, tender and bloody warm... the hunger made his mouth water to the thought... licking his chops; he really wanted to go poke at any thing... what would he do to have the fridge next to him right now!! Sigh... but then, he craned his head towards the hamburger girl still asleep on his side, now that his fur has dried up a little, and the rain's roaring has slightly went shallow, still, it was there... hunger bit his sensitive stomach in protest... he couldn't stand it!! Slowly shifting from her, he left her rest her head on the dry land he spat on; scooping her up, he laid her next to the harsh voiced girl; her head being pillowed by the brown beast's body, and then slowly trailed along towards the temple boy, having mouth widely exposed while he snored really loud...

"Hey!! Brat!! Wake up stupid! Do you attend to sleep all through the fic?" he scolded whispering as he poked Ushio in the ribs... the startled boy gazed at him with a start... after a short pause of silent glaring... THWACK! A smack on the head made the ancient beasts ears ring!!
"DAM-" crying in protest, a temple boy blocked his huge mouth with a hand grabbing his muzzle...
"Not so loud you sh** head! You wanna end up waking them up or what?" he hissed snaring, as he woke up annoyed from his partner's way of being an annoying living alarm clock! Glaring and hissing, growling and cursing each other, they slowly got fed up with that...
"Uh... what is it you a** h***? Why'd you wake me up so early for?" he growled still lazy, rubbing his eyes with a forehand trying to stay awake, spear shifting to his side...
"Well, what do you think you lousy Brat?" he questioned, sounding more like mocking... tail flickering as he sat back on his hunches... a moment of silence grew between them, as Ushio just tried to figure out why the beast woke him up, but then... he heard a strange, yet funny grumble... which turned out to be... Tora's stomach??
"!!!" The beast's eyes snapped wide open... embarrassed, though he couldn't blush... his head sank between his shoulders as his chin tucked his chest looking down... blinking once... a temple boy exploded in laughter... thudding on his back laughing his lungs out, eyes wheeling tears not being able to control him self, he clutched his stomach and chest trying to stop... unfortunately, he was laughing so loud, he woke every one up... much to the ancient orange beasts joy... yeah, right, like Duh!!

"Uh... morning!" said Asako rubbing her eyes, then eyeing oddly at an orange beast, on the edge of exploding in anger, with 'X' 1000 times over his head! Thunder crackling in the whiteness of his forelock, teeth shown, hands scoring the ground, his mane going fuzzy, and her friend on his back laughing his head off... "Uh what's going on?" she questioned with a cocked eye brow, it really gave her a small smile to see him laugh so loud, what ever it was, it really must've been funny...
"Morning..." a tired female voice said, craning her head towards Mayuko, she slowly opened her eyes, still feeling weary, she rubbed her eyes...
"God, what a night!!" murmured the brown beast as he stretched out wards, hands and legs looking for comfort... "God, it's still raining!!" he whispered sounding more like questioning, then giving a feline yawn, his jaws opened wide, shark teeth just like Tora's, but a little looking, thinner or sharper... the two human girls eyes widened, as they slightly grinned, eyeing each other, then eyeing a funny battle of spearing, cursing, biting, smacking and stuff, between a temple boy, slightly with a grin, and an ancient beast, who looks like he wants to kill some buddy! All in SD style...
"Uh morning every buddy..." whispered the little female... stretching out wards, then shaking off the wet droplets of early morning... craning her head to one side, her mother was still fast asleep, laying on her side, breathing in a single rhythm with her hearts pounding, her breath was clear on her cuffs, as her breath turned into tiny droplets, but still eyes closed, her head against her fathers mane from the back... Ann walked to her, nuzzling her softly, wanting to wake her up...
"Ann, honey let your mother sleep... she's been through enough and she needs a lot of rest!" Nightmare softly whispered, sounding more like scolding...
"Hey! How'd you know she was gonna wake her up if you cant see?" questioned Asako, as Mayuko slightly rested her head on her friends shoulder, still feeling weary...
"Hey!" he smirked "just because I'm blind, doesn't mean I'm helpless!" he said "I can still hear, taste, smell and feel, don't I?! So, I guess theirs no problem!" he concluded...
"B... blind?" a voice questioned squeaking, as the male beast felt his mate shift from behind him, he slightly craned his head towards her, to feel a fast pounding of a heart... he felt nervous, he never figured out how he was gonna tell her this... but I guess he shouldn't bother any more!
"Nightmare, what do you mean by... blind?" she asked, voice tired and still feeling dizzy, sitting next to him, back hunched up, Ivy green eyes, tired, flashed waiting an answer, a few locks of her crimson hair were brushed from her face with a single forefinger...

The rain went loud for a second... every one was silent, even the silly battle stopped... Nightmare felt a mad rush of shame running into his face, talking directly about some thing just wasn't like him... he just couldn't do it!! Dropping his head, eyes still closed, tail tucked, head craning to one side, he stayed silent...
"Nightmare!!" Shadow wanted an answer, and she wasn't gonna take his silence for it... "Why wouldn't you look at me?" she wanted him to at least face her... slowly, he did, yet still, eyes closed... "Nightmare..." her voice was fading "why wouldn't you open your eyes?" she asked... "Nightmare, Look at me!!" He didn't answer... but then, he felt a cupping pare of hands full of claws on his cheeks, craning his head towards some thing... "Nightmare... please... open your eyes... wont you?" Shadow had her heart pounding so fast, she couldn't speak properly... her heart was pounding in her throat... even in the palm of her hands, he could feel it... alas... taking in a deep breath, he had no choice...
"!!!!" she shifted back... "N-Night mare... y-your eyes... their... !!" she hesitated in saying it... cupping his face again, she sounded sobbing... "Your beautifully firm yellow eyes!! What happened to them? Who did this to you?" brushing back a few gray locks from his face...
"It was the bug beast... sigh..." he murmured softly, trying to comfort her, cause he knew she was bursting into tears...
"But you don't have to worry about that, we got rid of it all ready!!" proudly said the orange beast, all full of him self... but then, was gifted with a stomp down his butt, right on his tail by the temple boy... "SHUT-UP you sh** head!!" scolded the boy, teeth not parting as he spoke... Tora just snapped his teeth in the temple boy's face... going back to the battle drill all over again, crazy SD style, under the rain they went battling like two cat's fighting on one tuna fish!

"Shadow... I ... I'm sorry!" he lifted his hand wanting to find her face, but was held by her hands, holding his in her own... some thing wet fell... felt like a single droplet of water... was she crying, or was it just the rain? "Shadow, are you crying?" he questioned, simply he couldn't hear any thing but rain... Oh, and two guys fighting...
"Idiot!! Give me one good reason why should I cry?" hitting his shoulder, but not too hard, she shouted sobbing, trying to whip away her tears with the back of one hand, she seemed sad and angry in the same time... but which was stronger? O' well... Ann just snuggled her self into her mother's legs...
"You okay mom?" she asked worriedly... it wasn't an ordinary thing for her to see her mother crying!! She always had known her mother as a stubborn, hardheaded, crazy, yet fun to be with kind of female, that always had things her way, and not by any one else's!
"I'm okay honey... I'm just... just..." slowly shaking her head, she didn't know what to say... she couldn't stop sobbing, and just found her self throwing her arms around her mates neck in an embrace... her heart pounding in her throat and against her ribs, vibrating against his own... he didn't have any thing to do but to hold her... they stayed like that for so long...

The two human girls were just sitting there watching... it hurt... it hurt to not be able to do any thing about it... craning her head to the battle, Asako found her self walking into/under the rain towards the two idiots still battling, and then, kicked them both in the ass!! They both craned to her with 'Hey!! What the F***ing hell was that for?' cry... but then, both silenced, eyeing her... Asako really didn't seem to be in a mood to talk, and was feeling like beating the snout outta some buddy... nether one of them wanted to be this 'some buddy', not now, not at any time soon!!
"Uh some thing wrong Asako?" questioned the temple boy, whipping rain from his face... spear slightly standing next to him, propped butt on the wet ground... Asako just eyed them with this slit human cat like eyes, glaring like an angry panther... both guys flinched almost, feeling a harsh cold shiver going down both their spines, was it her gaze, or was it the rain? Or maybe just both!!

Some thing slowly came close... it slithers in a scaly skin, white wings flickered with scarlet tips... a swarm of scaly little serpents slowed their pace and stopped... crystal blue eyes flashing at them, after a pause it went back slithering, then slowly stopped... Tora felt it coming, ready to send an attack he started charging up thunder, but the minute has was gonna send it...
"Hey! Wait, its me!!" cried Lord Miya in surprise... ending up making the beast zap the temple boy with his thunder...
"Dammit!!" cursed the temple boy, sending the beast a gong on the noggin... "You did that on purpose, didn't you!!" he cried, whipping water from his face, eyes flashing, teeth screeching in his chin as it went left and right in anger, fighting back an urge of biting some one...
"What! I did not!!" he protested... "Besides, how was I to know it was Lord Miya any way??" he questioned...
"So!! You knew Lord Miya was coming, didn't you!!" scolded the boy, Tora only denied, "I did not!!" he slurred hissing...

"I SAY, DID-TOO!!! " (X 15 times)
"AND I SAY, DID NOT!!" (X 30 times)

And back to the SD battle under rain they went!! -.-||| !!

"Uhh... I hope I didn't come in a bad... time?" questioned the female dragon, eyeing the two female human, then the beast family, a little golden furred female, an adult female crying on a shoulder of a dark brown male, looks like her mate...
"Sniff... uhh..." Shadow wanted to stop, but still she couldn't... things kept on hurting her over and over... she couldn't resist...

"Ushio!!" scolded Asako, making the battle stop in a pose... Ushio sitting on the ancient beasts back pulling his arms back wards, like if he attends to dislocate them, and the ancient beast struggling to get him self free... Oh, and Ushio was digging his heals in the beasts waste again!! "Stop goofing around and introduce us wont you!?" she sounded more like interested to meet this dragon than to beat them up right now!!
"Uhh..." Ushio stood up, brushed the mud away from his tattered clothing, spear slightly propped aside, as Tora simply slipped back hiding from the rain, and then sending it in a great arc of water where the beast family spat...
"Hey, watch it!!" cried the little female "Tora!!" she scolded, she hated getting wet as much as he did... the ancient beast only chuckled, as the little female stretched her little bottom lips cheeks pumped up in protest...
"Ann... I thought I told you to let go of that habit!" softly scolded the mother... still head on her mates shoulder... "Sorry mom!" she answered...

"Uhh... well lord Miya... this are my friend, Asako..." Asako lightly bowed to her with respect, "it's a pleasure to meet you Lord Miya!" said the human girl with a smile, "it's a pleasure to meet you too!" the female dragon answered smiling as well, head slightly bowing... as then eyed Mayuko, while Tora sat next to her almost curling around her keeping her warm, she only clutched his fur wanting rest, she was too tired to even stay awake... "And that is Mayuko, sorry but she's to tired to move right now!" the temple boy explained... "That's quite alright Beast Barrier!" she grinned... then eyeing the beast family, whom only eyed her worriedly...
"And who are they?" she questioned... but before the temple boy could talk, one of her minions spoke...
"Uh... Lord Miya" he seemed to want to get her attention "forgive my interlude, my lord... but..." pointing at Nightmare "that one!!" it hesitated...
"What is it Mitzu?" she questioned... the little serpent really seemed worried...
"It's him! The one that ate the group you sent to the eastern region last week!!" it's voice went a little loud "it's him!!" he seemed to go all frazzled like worried...
"Huh?" questioned Nightmare... now that he had a good smell at the wind; it 'did' smell like his favorite snack... water serpents!! But food wasn't an issue he should think of right now...
"Nightmare..." the female whispered to her mate, he felt her hold his shoulders tight... she was worried about him... Lord Miya could kill him for eating her minions... it's her right! The dark brown beast only held his mate's hands in his own, slightly smiling, and trying to comfort her...

"Beast... answer me the truth... are you the one whom been eating my minions?" she questioned him, frowning... her minions slightly stepped back as Nightmare stepped into the rain towards her... Ushio blinked at them, was some thing about to happen? Was she attending to avenge her followers' death? Oh God don't!! Please Don't!! Shadow placed her hands on her heart watching her mate, tears slightly wheeling in her eyes... her heart pounded hard as fear clutched her breath...
"Lord Miya... I ask your forgiveness..." he whispered, "Sadly... yes... I am the one..." shame stopped him from talking any more...
"Of course... you know I could kill you for this beast, don't you!" she said it with a firm voice, wings tucked on the sides of her body...
"Yes..." he dropped his head down... "But please... do to me what you want... but... don't hurt my family, they have nothing to do with this..." he pleaded... she only gazed at him, her eyes flashed with some thing bright... Ushio hesitated... he was about to talk, when a orange beast yanked him back...

"Hey!! Tora, what are you-"
"Stay outta this Brat! You want to get your self killed with him?"
"Well I can't just stay watching! I want to help!"
"You cant save every soul you find stupid!"
"What!? You want me to just let her kill him?"
"It's her right! Don't interfere"
"Kill him for what? For eating a few dumb serpents?"
"Yes!! He'll get punished for eating serpents... like me being pined to a God-damn stone for eating a few measly slip of f***ing sh** eating humans like you!!"
".........!"
"It's a beasts rules in protecting its territory Brat... if not work by them... don't underestimate them!!"

The temple boy froze... the ancient beasts silver slit eyes or fury silenced his protestation... he could struggle about it no more... the whiteness of the beasts forelock crackled with thunder, Ushio found him self stabbing a near by stone with the spear causing it to make a diamond shaped crack... the ancient beast only flickered his tail, head lowering then craning towards the dragon and the other beast... then eyeing a female on the edge of passing out... Tora felt a little pity for her... even though he would never admit to say it... silently leaving the boy behind; he went to the hamburger girl and curled around her again keeping her warm...

"Well..." the water dragon spoke, her eyes closed for some time, listening to her element for advice as rain sang loud... the dark brown beast rose his head a little, heart pounding waiting her choice... the water dragon eyed his female and daughter, both frightened of what her choice might be... eyes closed again, she rose her wings high above the beast covering him whole... under her wings, he and the dragon's head were alone... he felt some thing shift near him slowly...
"Beast... I would like to ask you some thing..." she whispered, her voice not changing from it's firm tone one little bit... he gave a nod, "let's make a deal... eat another one of my serpents... and I'll take your family for it... understand?" she whispered, some thing within him snapped... his... family? All what he has? Was he going to lose them for a stupid little snake? Was he going to let this go through so simply? No!! No and a thousand times no!! "Do we have a deal?" she slightly gave a smile, he could feel an easing in his chest, as he gave a nod to her while she shifted away from him...

Slightly slithering back to were she was, the female dragon smiled at the beast barrier and ancient beast... no one knew what happened between her and Nightmare, and no one yet dared to ask... Shadow had her hopes that no harm shall reach him... her heart almost stopped when she saw him walking back towards her 'is it over? She's not going to kill him?' a smiled wheeled it's way into her desperate face while tears seeped down... standing next to her, wet and dripping, she didn't care, she didn't even give him time to talk to her, as she hustled him a big hug happy for his return in one piece... feeling a rush of embarrassment, Nightmare felt it a little silly... still, quite comfortable... pleasantly good... overwhelming even... her warm arms around his cold wet neck, while her breath paced quickly, then her head snuggled under his chin... Ann was a few feet way, only did her mothers hand, showing her to come closer make her pace towards them... her daughter in her arms, as she settled in her mate's embrace... finally she felt that all her pain was washed away... still, he's alive, he might be blind, but it's better than having him dead!! Her breath slowed with relief as she eyed the water dragon with gratitude...

Mayuko smiled as they held each other so warmly... it had her remembering her parents... she snapped! 'My parents! Their probably still at the plane right now!' the thought had her dreaming away... only did the temple boys stomach protest so loud, it got every ones attention although the rain was still falling, but still not so hard...
"Err sorry!" absolute shame rushed burning his ears, rubbing the back of his neck... every one laughed, especially the ancient beast whom pocked him in the ribs!!
"Heh, who's the idiot now brat?" he snickered, the temple boy only glared with redness in his face... "Oh shut up!" he cried...

"Well... allow me to help you gather some food... do you like fish?" questioned the water dragon... they all seemed to like the idea, after all, they all were starving to death, especially an orange beast with a stomach that never knew the phrase 'I'm full!'... Come to think about it... how many bits of a bites can a beast bite in one bite? [What ever that means!] Still... Mayuko could go for a meal... but was to absent minded thinking about her parents... and that one legged man, where'd he go? Obviously, it seems that no one even paid attention to him any way! Hope every thing will turn okay... she prayed in her heart as she listened to the temple boy's complain with her friend Asako of how to cock the fish...
"I say fried!" he cried "and I say boiled... and besides, from where are we gonna get oil to fry it any way?" she reasoned... "Okay... skip the oil... how about making it a BBQ?" he asked
"And how are we gonna do that with it raining, smart-ass?" questioned the beast really annoyed and wants nothing but food... raw or cocked, it really didn't make any difference to his sensitive stomach!
"Uh how about if I go catch some fish while you settle this! I'll be back soon! Mitzu, look after them wont you" smiled the dragon as she slithered away almost laughing... "Yes Lord Miya" he responded... her minions stayed back, watching the beast family silently sitting under the C curved like stone, being protected from the rain... they really didn't feel safe being near Nightmare, so they just sat as groups in the bushes a few feet away under the rain... Mayuko gripped the ancient beasts mane a little tight, she felt a little cold wind and she also felt dizzy... but every thing was a little too loud, maybe a little funny even for her to sleep... and besides, she had too much in her heart to rest... only God knows what's next...

Ushio stabbed a stone earlier... and when he pulled out the spear again, a little of the light went in seeping its way through... but then... some thing... or should I say... a swarm of some thing, small slimy, with a pair of four yellow glowing eyes of the sides of their heads, and a pair of 10 tentacles on each side started to awake... light seems to bother it... good thing the sun isn't out yet till now... a little glimpse for us to see that they are little bug beasts like the one the Beast Barrier and ancient beast defeated earlier... were they just babies? But don't seem to crawl out of the diamond shaped crack yet... maybe not now... is it?

Rain was falling hard... at the shore of the island, the men were looking after the hostages as they went back into the air plane, protecting them selves from the rain... every one was scared... it had been two days at least, and no sign of help is seen... Mayukos mother was crying her eyes out only wanting a sign of her daughter's survival as her husband comforted her... Fuusetsu was watching them from behind a cretin of the pilots' cockpit... the radio was badly damaged, and he was worried as well... he rally didn't know about the bug beast... if there was one... there are defiantly more where it came from, right? And that orange beast, and human boy with the spear, who are they? How or when did they get here? Most important of all... why are they here any way? And the human girls, the other two beasts... the female beast... she really looked like some one he knew, or some one he heard of... is it the one he vowed to search for? Her green ivy slit eyes, they were so... so... what? He couldn't tell... for some reason, her eyes made him feel like a helpless little child... he couldn't move... he couldn't do any thing... He was lost in thought till a voice got his attention...

"Fuusetsu, some thing wrong?" a Russian female voice asked, as he craned his head towards her, she had short boy like style of blond hair, eyes pure blue, black eye lashes, eyes like a gipsy! Bloody red lips and milky skin... wearing a military pants and a black tank-top shirt, with a black tattoo of a cat's paw print on the left side of her chest... almost on her breast... clearly, she wasn't wearing a bra!! He eyed her calmly... blinked once, and then turned away eyeing Mayuko's parents again... he gave her no answer...
"Fuusetsu... um, I mean, Boss, some thing wrong?" she had to address him so he might answer her... and he did...
"What do you want Elena?" he said it harshly, simply not in a mood to talk to any one... letting go of the cretin, he eyed her again, dark blue eyes to pure light blue...
"You've been gone for a whole day, and we lost a part of our group...and I just wanted to tell you that the rest are really up set about this and are thinking of taking care of you 'permanently'...!" she frowned almost...
"I did not ask them to come with me... they did it by them selves... if any one wants to leave it's his choice, and I'm not responsible for the consequences that might occur to him..." he paused "and besides... I told every one that I have no guarantee on any thing that might happen..." he eyed her again frowning, letting go of the cretin... she only eyed him back, glaring... but now, some thing in his eyes changed...
"Elena... would you do me a favor?" he asked... she only blinked once, a bit surprised of his request...

Out side... at he side of the plane... the men were standing guard... really they didn't like this weather, most were hoping for a nice hot mug of chocolate! In their dreams... any ways... they were being watched by a little water serpent, it blinked once then skipped back as another one took it's place, some thing like a shift in turns ya' know!! The little serpent drew it's way back to wards it's known destination... they rain has almost stopped now, only a few droplets on the trees leaves and scattered here and there, and they sky managed to make a crack in the clouds for the early morning sun to seep it's light through... all what our heroes and heroines wanted was a little warmth as the new day began... but to a temple boy and an ancient beast, what's a day with out a fight over breakfast?

"Damn you Tora, that's my fish!!"
"Heh you defiantly should learn to be faster stupid ummm! Delicious!"
"Why I ought to..." ==> spear
"Huh Sh**!! God-Dammin human, I'm gonna have your head for this!!" ==> thunder crackle
"Oh, you sure you wanna try that?"

The SD style battle... again...

"Sigh don't they ever get tired?" questioned the female beast, really, she never seen any one... or two, who liked to fight the entire time tike those two before! Then took a bite of her fish, her cuffs crackled slightly as she moved her wrists... Ann and Nightmare were busy eating as well... no problem with seafood with Nightmare, but it seems that Ann doesn't like it!
"Its quite normal..." answered Asako munching down her meal of fish over campfire... "Ushio and the orange ass fight like this all the time!" then eyeing the little female, she hardly ate her meal... "Ann, some thing wrong?"
"No... It's just that... I don't like fish!" she complained... eyeing her mother, she had this gaze saying 'eat it honey!' Ann really didn't have the appetite... "I don't wanna!"
"Ann, eat it..." simply said Shadow in a voice more like an order than a remark... gulping down the last of her meal...
"Well... I don't think forcing her on eating is counted a good idea Shadow!" exclaimed Asako, and it's true... to all mothers out there, never, and I repeat... Never force your child on eating when he/she doesn't feel like it, or your only gonna end up making him hate the meals you make... besides, have you ever heard of a child starving to death by his/her own choice?
"Ann... Why wouldn't you eat?" her father questioned... for him, there was nothing more delicious in life than seafood, it even tasted better in his mouth than human flush!!
"I just... don't feel like it..." she murmured... there was some thing on her mind bothering her... she eyed her father, then her mother... after a pause she eyed Tora how was still fighting over an already eaten fish with the temple boy... she gave a sigh... sitting between her parents, her mother picked her up, placed her in her lap, compassionately cupping her face and brushing away a few of her silver locks...
"Ann... Sweat heart, what's wrong? If theirs some thing bothering you... you can tell me, can't you?" she questioned... her daughters eyes felt worried... the little female only lowered her gaze, she couldn't look into her mothers eyes, and settled by just resting her head on her chest listening to her heart beats... now that the fur around her neck almost healed, only a few locks were still burned, the rest is back, but not as good looking as the rest...
"Ann?" her mother asked... some thing was defiantly wrong!! "Baby what's wrong?" she placed a hand on her daughters face...
"I just... wish things would go back to normal... I want us all to go back home together..." she was on the edge of crying, her face tucked in her mothers chest, her eyes wheeled tears, but she whipped them away sniffling...
"Ann...!" her father whispered... a feeling of guilt enveloped him whole... after all, it IS his fault in the first place, he was the one who left them... when he did, his mate was caught by humans, and his daughter might've been killed by any other beast trying to take over their territory... he lowered his head, and lost his appetite... listening to his daughters sobbing in her mothers embrace trying to calm her down... Asako froze with that... it's been three days by now, right? Her parents' are probably worried sick! And Oji-san... what's he doing right now? Is every thing okay back home?

A worrying strange silence enveloped the place... and that's when Lord Miya came back with another load of fish...she stood silent as she saw them circling the campfire, silent, and the other two idiots still fighting... the little female in her mothers arms, cuddling her, kissing her on the forehead, whispering for her to calm down, Asako and Mayuko silently thinking... and the dark brown beast eyes closed, silent, back hunched up, head down...
"I'm worried about my parents..." whispered Mayuko; putting down her meal... she just couldn't eat, although she hardly had a single bite from it any ways...
"Me too..." said Asako... both girls were worried... after a short pause they both gave a sigh... that's when Lord Miya came in...
"If your worried, how about if we just help you get back home then?" she exclaimed, sure of her ability of helping them...
"We thank you so dearly Lord Miya... it's just that..." Asako didn't finish... she didn't know how to explain it to her...
"My parents are held prisoners now... making a wrong move might kill them..." said Mayuko...

"How about if we just bust in there, chop the humans heads off and party then?" said an orange beast, sitting on a temple boy, the boys hands flipped behind his back held tight with nasty orange hand full of claws...
"F*** Tora Get-Off-Me!!" the boy struggled in frustration, wanting to stab the beast with the spear, the beast only chuckled...
"Oh shut your crap brat!" he laughed... "I'm not gonna waste my energy with you right now, we have a lot of hunting to do stupid, remember!?" he snorted chuckling...
"Oh I'm gonna hunt your ass after this you sh** head... Get-OFF!!" he cried, struggling his best, but Tora wasn't weightless by then! So simply he was no feather! Placing a hand full of claws, not so nicely on the temple boy's head, making his face messy with mud, as well as the rest of his body, he snickered...
"Stop moving won't you! You're getting on my nerves!!" he scolded... Ushio was fed up with that and just wanted to bite the crap outta the beast... but his hands were pinned to the ground, and the spear wouldn't move from his fingers as his grip tightened... panting hard, he tried to bite the beasts fingers on his head...

"Ushio..." said Mayuko... he eyed her from his position, she looked weary and desperate... then he eyed Asako... Lord Miya... the water serpents behind her... the beast family... all of the fury somehow faded away... only then did the beast draw back from top of him, only to walk to the hamburger girl and settle next to her... snatching a few more BBQ'ed fish!
"What is it?" he said it a little harsh... whipping mud from his clothing... Mayuko only rested her self on the beast sprawling behind her like an over grown orange sofa...
"Any idea how to help the hostages at the plane?" She asked... the beast just licked his chops then gave a huge open jaw as he yawned like a cat, arms folded under his head...
"Well... I think we should study the situation first..." he said firmly "we have to know how many are they and if the hostages are okay or not..." he concluded...
"I want to help!" said the dark brown beast... they all eyed him, standing on four feet, tail flickering, thunder crackling in his forelock...
"Nightmare... what are you saying?" his mate questioned, not wanting to believe what she heard him say... his daughter only blinked, really not understanding why he wants to do this...
"I'm sorry Nightmare, but I think it would be better if you stay back!" harshly said Ushio, he didn't want to end up looking after a blind beast...
"I'm going with you!" cried Asako, knowing what Ushio would say; she just jumped him in the face making him flinch... "And don't you dare say no or I'll beat your face out!!" her fisted knuckles under his nose tip...
"Uhh... I wouldn't recommend that Asako!" he nervously grind... the guy just lost his guts!! "Really it would be safer for you and Mayuko to stay back here!" she stupidly chuckled... both the spear and the ancient beast gave a sweat drop!
"NO!!" cried Mayuko... quickly standing on her legs, feeling suddenly dizzy, she wobbled a little before she spoke, a cold feeling enveloped her... "My... parents are still there... and I want to be with them!"
"Your... parents?" whispered Ann to her self... Shadow only held her daughter a little tight, she eyed her mother, and her ivy green eyes were worried...

"Mayuko..." whispered the temple boy... he knew that his friend didn't have the strength to even walk! So how is she gonna help? He stood silent...
"Hey Brat..." said the beast in his beastly voice, sounding like he's gonna start some thing bad... "Why don't you just take a few of Lord Miya's serpents..." he eyed her "if she doesn't mind!" she gave a nod of exception, pause "and just make a mess outta thing to distract them, and then sneak your way into the head of the plane?" said the beast, more like questioning...
"It's called a cock-pit Tora!" smiled Asako...
"What ever!!" he murmured... "And besides... we could really make some good use of you somehow though!!" he snickered eyeing the female beast...
"Huh? Me??" she blinked, then eyed her daughter in her lap...
"Keep Shadow outta this!" hissed the dark brown beast, standing near his mate, tail flickering a little faster in a few quick lashes... "Don't you dare lay a finger on her or I'll rip your head off!" he threatened...
"Heh... if you could find it!!" smiled the beast... "Your blind, don't you forget that!!" his voice quickly changed from silly to harshly sour as he scolded... "Don't you think a beast like you is better off hiding some where safe?" he hissed, standing on his four feet, tail lashing, teeth showed, thunder crackling in the whiteness of his forelock, as Mayuko couldn't stand on her legs any more, placing a hand on his back for support, she felt her cold head spin...
"Don't you tell me what to do!!" Nightmare growled...
"Mayuko, you should rest" said Asako, cupping her friends shoulders, helping her sit down and rest... "Ushio... I think it would be better if we all go!" said Asako, trying to help her friend feel better "besides, no one should stay behind! It's not safe here!" she exclaimed rubbing her friend's shoulders comforting her...
"Yeah, I guess your right..." he responded...
"I'll help!" said the female beast, to every ones surprise... her mate craned his head towards her with a sudden jerk...
"What!! Shadow, you don't know a thing about battling humans!!" he protested, he really didn't want her to go at any case...
"I'm going and that's that!" she frowned... "And there's no way you would make me change my mind Nightmare!" she glared at every one... they all gave a sigh...
"Me too!" the little female said it loud, even to her mothers surprise... Shadow said nothing, eying her daughter... crystal blue to ivy green... "Mom... let me help!" she whispered eyes firm as her fathers... or as Tora's!!
"Are you sure of what's your going for?" she asked... the little female gave a nod... "I guess my little baby finally grew up to be a little lady!!" whispered her mother then only grind cuddling her; I guess we can take it as a yes!
"In that case, I'll join you!" said lord Miya in a firm voice... clearly, she wasn't attending to back up either, and to her minions eyes wide open blinking each other, then her again...
"When you meet one stubborn female... you've met them all!" slurred the beast to him self almost chuckling... then ==> sweat drop/white thing... sigh...

At the edge of the island... the plane was still there, rain stopped, and a few men still walking around, the weather was a little chilly, so every one stayed in side the plane... in the pilots' cockpit... Fuusetsu was busy reading a manual about the radios communication system... seems that he wanted to fix it... but ended up throwing the book away in anger... making a mess outta his red hair with frustrated fingers, a mug of hot coffee appeared above his shoulder, craning his head, he saw Elena, with her cold white face, pure light blue eye, offering him the mug... he took it silent, gratefully pleased with the taste...
"How'd it go?" he asked with a cold voice, sitting on his butt on the floor, eyeing his reflection in the black coffee...
"Temporarily... okay... but I don't know how long they would fall for this..." she paused "Fuusetsu!" her voice sharpened, craning his head towards her, dark blue eyes, almost slitted... "If what you say is true... the beasts on this island might try to kill us... wont they?" she sounded concerned... he just gave a nod... "What should we do then?" she wanted him to answer... but he was absent minded, with dreamy eyes looking at his reflection, as a faint smile drew it's way in his cold face... "Fuusetsu?" she questioned...
"You know the feeling that you get..." she blinked as he talked to her strangely " ... the feeling when... when you spend your life looking for some one... and when you finally find ... it ... it turned out to be nothing like you imagined!" he rose his head looking out side through the window's glass in front of him... she gazed out side... she saw nothing, but when she turned towards him again to talk, he was staring right at her...
"What?" she flushed... his face was right in front of her own! Her heart beats rose, as she found her self sitting next to him on the floor... quickly flushing she stood up, brushed her self... "Um, sorry boss, I'll go do a check up on the rest of the men!" she just wanted to get outta there... never had she ever felt her face burn so much!!
"Elena!!" he called... she froze in her steps, craning her head towards him, he was smiling, rising the mug her way "thanks for the coffee!" he exclaimed...
"Bah... What ever!" she murmured and walked away feeling the heat rising a little bit more in her head!

Walking out side into the muddy beach, Elena eyed her surroundings, as a few men were enjoying them selves the early sun with a shower in the seawater, splashing or just floating on the face of the surface... she could go for a bath, but defiantly never with them around! Besides! They had 'all' their cloths off! Even the under wear! Eww!!
"Yo! Bit** Lady!!" a crummy scrawny looking guy cried, "why don't you strip your self and join us?" he asked with a wicked grin... she only glared at him...
"The name's Elena!!" folding her arms, she gave a 'humph' and walked away, cursing them under hear breath... walking towards a few crates set near the edge of the forest, kind of like a wall like position, she found a crate high enough for her to sit on and just settled there for a second, giving a sigh she rested her head back wards on the crates, closing her eyes, thinking away...

'I wonder why I'm doing all of this for? Just for him? Is it all for him alone? Is he really that worth? Uhh... I dunno any more... he lost his leg... still... I cant stop thinking about him... it's not love... it wouldn't possibly be it... it just wouldn't fit the situation... but his eyes... his hair... sigh... every thing I ever dreamed of... sigh hmm... that's funny... it's either just me, or some thing feels kind of warm and muggy all of a sudden!' her hands reached backwards 'and it's all... furry? HUH?!' her eyes shot open, craning her head back... she met a pair of silver pupilless eyes... "Surprise!" a near chuckling grim whisper of a voice was all she heard, just before she had a punch in the stomach knocking her out cold... lights out...

Fuusetsu felt strangely worried... he craned his head to one side, picking up the empty coffee mug, walking out side, using a crutch he took from a guy with a broken leg!! Standing out side, the sky had cleared some how, still, some thing felt gloomy... the men were enjoying them selves... the hostages are being looked after by the rest of the men left... and... 'Huh?' some thing moved near by... carefully he lurked near it... but that's when he saw... a little lizard like thing? 'What the hell?' then another came in... And another... and a few more followed... after a short while a wide arc of a swarm gathered around the plane... some slipped into the plane, some swam to the men swimming in the water, some lurked near by... after a short pause, Fuusetsu didn't understand what was happening... only did a women's scream in side the plane catch his attention... slumping his way back... he stopped when he heard a chuckle, then something being smacked by some thing metal... then some one started cursing in a strange way no one could understand...
"Who's there? Come out at once!!" he demanded, pulling out a small silver gun from his belt, which was placed behind him under the trench coat... his eyes flashed dark blue... the sun sent a few lines of it's rays from behind him... slowly some thing took a step forwards...

"You?' he questioned puzzled, lowering his gun" why are you here boy... And where's your furry friend?" he exclaimed, scanning for the orange beast...
"Near by!" said the temple boy "tell me..." the one legged man listened "why have you done this? What do you want with all those people?" the temple boy had his voice harsh and kind of husky...
"I only wanted one person... but now that he's gone... I just want to get every thing back to he way they used to be..." pause, glaring at each other "I simply have no interest in these people Beast barrier... not as much as her!!"
"Her?" the boy asked... he didn't know what the one legged man was talking about... "You called me Beast Barrier? You've heard of me?"
"Yes! The holder of the Kimono-No-Yuri ... are you not?" said the one legged man... Ushio blinked... he had known no one else who knew about the spear but his dad... and Tora? Did he know about the ancient beast too?
"Who... are you?" puzzled and startled, the boy questioned, gripping the spear a little tight... Ushio slightly leaned it near the man and it hummed a soft song... it reacted? Cause a human? Why? It never did that before! Ushio blinked, feeling its haft...
"Don't drown in your thoughts boy..." he whispered calmly "in case you're wondering, I would just like to tell you know that I'm known as Fuusetsu... the human beast that hunts beasts!"
"The human beast that hunts beasts?" cocking an eye brow, that title sounded a little corny to his point of view...

Suddenly an orange shadow struck the human down with a stripped hand full of claws, flinching the gun from his hands to rest in a light brown hand full of claws, which hid in the bushes near by... after a short battle, Fuusetsu managed to escape the beast's claws and scored some dirt, then threw it in the beast face...
"Urgh... Goddamn human... I've got dirt in my eyes!!" cursed the ancient beast rubbing his eyes in pain... Ushio froze... he never knew any one fast enough to escape Tora's attack but him self... and he has two fine legs, so what about a guy that only has one?
"Dammit..." cursed the beast, trying to blink only hurt more, he shock his head and crackled thunder in annoyance...
"Tora!! Don't do that!" Mayuko scolded whispering, "You'll only make it go worse!!" she walked almost slumping towards him, ignoring the man's glare...
"Mayuko! I thought I told you to stay back!" scolded the temple boy... she only blinked once then eyed the one legged man...
"I see you're alright!" she smiled "how's your leg?" she really looked worn out, hardly standing on her legs, with a faint smile on her pale face... her ocean gray eyes eyed him passionately...

Fuusetsu startled... who is she? Didn't he torture her earlier when she wanted to free the female beast? Speaking of which, where is that female fuzz ball? He scanned around him, only for a little golden furred female to step into his view... he recognized her from earlier when the tentacle almost got her... with her crystal blue eyes glowing in the pure light of early morning... but then... some thing bigger, light brown and female stood behind her, with his gun held in her clawed hands... her fingers were a bit too big to fit the trigger...
"Serena!" he whispered to him self, almost if like asking her... she only blinked once, if like the name meant some thing to her, a short pause broke in, and then she shock her head...
"Shadow... not Serena... Fuusetsu!" she answered him calmly... Nightmare walked behind followed by Asako, both cocking their eye brows...
"Shadow... you know him?" asked the human girl, the female only gave a nod, not craning her head to her, eye to eye with the human...

The water serpents from earlier, the ones who went into the water where the men were... they were having fun biting them in there tender parts!! The one legged man wondered 'are all of them his friends? Why are they all here?' but then... eyed Elena, laying on the dark brown beasts back, knocked out cold, breathing slowly...
"Elena!?" he questioned... eyeing them all then taking a step back... "What do you all want? The hostages? Go ahead, I won't stop you... but that wont do any good cause were stranded on this Island any way!" he exclaimed...
"What do you mean?" asked the dark brown beast... he simply felt like killing some one at that moment... tail lashing, but then, his mate just gave a hand for him to rest, simply laying it on his forelock...
"Fuusetsu... why are you after me?" she asked... honestly, she wanted to know the reason... he only gazed her... now that the sun has rose a little bit higher, his figure came more clear to her... a pause came in between them... "You do... look awful familiar!" she whispered wearily... now, he did look like she met him before, some one really close... closer than she thinks... but... when? She first encountered him when she was caught in the cage... and she was still tied up with the metal cuffs... 'Hmm... I really should try to get rid of them soon!' she thought to her self, eyeing her wrists...

BANG!! A loud explosion blasted in the side of the plane; making the men startle and run around here and there... sand was splashing high like a water fountain from the ground, even the stars of the story were alarmed...
"Tora! That's not suppose to be her job, is it?" questioned the harsh voiced girl, gripping the dark brown beasts mane... the earth under them shock hard... then slowly... the sand near them, some where close to the plane... started to circle in a simple sand pit... quick and deadly...
"What the hell...!" cried the temple boy, gripping the spear hard... "What's going on here?" he asked puzzled... it seems that even the orange beast had no idea on what was going on...
"Beats me! But one thing for sure, it's not good!!" said Asako, gripping the mane a little harder... the men and the hostages from the plane quickly ran out side the plane in fright, as the little serpents scared them out of it!! Slowly every one was out... Fuusetsu took a step back, studying what had just happened, he craned his head towards the female, slowly drawing his hand back, then foot a little to the side... skipping quickly, for her surprise, he jumped her, took the gun and gave the dark brown beast a punch in the chin, making him flinch, and as quick as that, he snatched the knocked out member of his gang, placing her over his shoulder, one hand keeping her still, the other holding up the gun... they all froze as he pointed the gun in their faces...

"Move out!" he whispered firmly... the temple boy answered him with a glare "I said MOVE OUT!!" he just growled... "Get out before one of my men finds you!" he ordered... they all blinked each other...
"Are you... helping us?" asked Mayuko... hand on her heart, the other on the orange beats forelock, his eyes closed, slightly tearing cause of the dirt with in them...
"I don't care what you call it... just get your butt's outta here before you get your selves in trouble!" he cried...

Nether one of them under stood what happened... Shadow eyed him oddly... "Fuusetsu..." she whispered... Nightmare heard it... and some thing in his dark world snapped... if like he just remembered some thing that just came back from the dead... BANG!! A gunshot was heard... and some men heard it and hurried towards the way it came from... they were at the other side of the plane, but when they got to the boss... they saw three kids, two girls and a boy... with a pretty long spear... hell? They didn't remember seeing them before... except for Mayuko!! The men walked towards them and held them tight so they wont escape... strangely they didn't try to escape... but Ushio didn't let them touch the spear... the way he was cursing bothered them... their boss was holding a gun in their faces and with the bit** Lady 'as they prefer to call her' knocked out on his shoulder...

"Hey?! How'd you three get here..." a man said, mostly annoyed... "It's a good thing you got them boss!" he smiled to his boss, whom only shot him with a glare that could kill... "Err, some thing wrong boss? You're looking different!" he pointed out... the one legged man didn't answer, instead he placed the gun back in it's pocked under the back of his trench coat, then gripped the temple boy from his short black hair, near the forelock and yanked it up...
"I've warned you boy... and I'll worn you about some thing else..." their faces went close "I DON'T play nice!!" slowly letting go, Ushio felt pain... getting yanked by the hair was pretty normal, but not when it's so short and near to the scalp!! "Take them back in side, I'll think of what to do with them all later..." he harshly said... then slowly walking away with the woman on his shoulder... passing the small quick sand pit, he glared at it... some thing bad is about to happen, and he knew it... but then, he just carried on his way...
"Wait!!" cried Mayuko... he craned his head towards her... her ocean gray eyes had some thing in them... obviously, she wanted to talk to him... he just didn't have the heart for it right now...

As the group of evil men took them into the plane with the rest of the hostages, after all the water serpents were scared away with frying pans and knives!! Fuusetsu walking away to the other side of the plane... a glare of Ivy green eyes watched him... a pair of crystal blue eyes eyed her in worry...
"What are we gonna do mom?" she asked... her mother gave no answer... personally, she was worried about Asako... looking back, a few of her silver locks came into her view, brushing them away, she eyed Tora, still rubbing his eyes in pain, not able to blink even... "Um, maybe you should wash it with water Tora! It would really help better that rubbing it!" she said...
"sh**!! And get my fur wet? You're kidding me kid!" he shocks his head... "Man I never knew it could hurt so much!!" he started slurring as he cured...
"Cursing wont do any good buddy, trust me, I know!" simply said Nightmare, faintly smiling... Ann turned attending to talk to her mother, but instead she found her eying her father with almost crying eyes... her mother looked so desperate...
"Nightmare..." she whispered, voice shaking... he felt it... so he rose his head towards her... listening...
"What is it?" he sounded worried him self... Ann was a bit lost, so was Tora... obviously, Shadow and Nightmare knew some thing neither one of them knew... but what is it? Dose it have some thing to do with what they're facing right now? Dose it matter? If it did... why wouldn't they explain it to us?? So many questioned... yet so little answers... the two female beasts couldn't do any thing right now but to take care of the two injured males and think of a way to help their human friends... and where's Lord Miya from all of this?? And the sand pits? What made them appear at any case?? And... Sheez, I've been asking too much... O_o !

Some where they've been to before, at a cracked stone... a dark damp cavern started growing warm, making it's holders awakened from their long sleep... hungry and annoyed of being awakened so rudely by the early suns warm heat... slowly they slipped out of their hiding spot and searched among the remains of a camp fire and fish remains... then following a trail of mud, blood and fur human flush, paw prints and shoe prints... they started their day... hunting for humans...
